\n<\/a>Any Mac user that shares external drives with Windows machines knows; you can read and write to FAT32 drives, but you can only read from an NTFS one.<\/p>\n

This is very frustrating, since there is a file size limit of 4GB on FAT32. 
\n5 years ago, that would not have been a problem. But today, with HD movies being between 4GB and 12GB, it is far too small.<\/p>\n

<\/a>But thank goodness, Tuxera has saved the day, and it seems like they have been doing it for a while.
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

With support as far back as Mac OS X Tiger (10.4), Tuxera makes it possible to write to any NTFS drive with their simple app, Tuxera NTFS.<\/p>\n

\nNot only can you write to an NTFS volume, but you can also format drives into NTFS straight from your Mac.<\/p>\n

Tuxera hosts a range of enterprise products too, so check them out.<\/p>\n

<\/a>On their site, there is a little video<\/a> tutorial on the product, which lets you figure out very quickly that are a Chinese-based company.<\/p>\n

Tuxera NTFS for Mac can be downloaded<\/a> freely as trial, which will function for 15 days.<\/p>\n

After that period, you will need to purchase a license key from their site for R250. It’s a little bit heavy on the price side, but I found it to be a small price to pay for this level of functionality<\/p>\n

Tuxera makes it very clear on their purchase-site<\/a> that their licensing model is 1 Person = 1 License. So for all your personal devices, you are covered with one license.<\/p>\n
