Private Eye: Your free network monitor for Mac

Ever wondered exactly what apps, services, protocols, or even devices are making connections out onto the World Wide Web, or even worse, receiving connections?

Well there are a ton of network monitors that will tell you exactly what you want to know, with a price tag attached of course.

But Private Eye, gives you the same results, with no price attached.

PE works in real-time, and allows you to filter your connections by app, or by direction.

I’ve been using the app for some time now, and I find it’s a great way to find rogue-apps making multiple connections to the web, or simply finding the web-hungry critters lurking in the background.

All-in-All, 10 points!

Enjoy!
