Late last night, The Recording Academy, posted a press-release, indicating that the late Steve Jobs will be awarded a Grammy in the "Trustees Award" category.
The Academy is honouring many others for their achievements, and made special mention of Jobs' role in revolutionising the music industry.
"As former CEO and co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs helped create products and technology that transformed the way we consume music, TV, movies, and books. A creative visionary, Jobs' innovations such as the iPod and its counterpart, the online iTunes store, revolutionized the industry and how music was distributed and purchased."
Like all the great minds of our society, Jobs has only been honoured posthumously for his role in the music industry, but all the same, I'm sure his family, friends and former colleagues will embrace it..
